Customer Needs:
Marty Hanehan plants about 1000 acres of corn and 500 of soybeans and was looking for a way to save seed and maximize yielding potential.
Specialist’s Solution/Outcome:
Marty contacted Joe Jadhon, a Precision Farming Specialist. After discussing how far in Marty would like to go, Joe led him in the direction of running air clutches on his planter with an auto-steer system.
Equipment Used:
Joe installed an EZ pilot on the 7810 John Deere and a Trucount air clutch system with Field IQ on a Kinze 12 row planter. Combined, Marty came out of the mix with a fully based Trimble system that gave him individual row shutoffs and auto-steering through EZ pilot.
