Monroe Tractor recently returned from a customer trip to the Case IH Combine Plant in Grand Island, Nebraska, offering attendees a behind-the-scenes look at how today’s combines are built.
The visit began the evening of the 3rd with a complimentary dinner hosted by Case IH. Guests enjoyed a presentation from Case IH Combine Specialist Seth Woodward and had the opportunity to connect with members of the Case IH team, including plant directors and combine specialists from other regions.
The following morning, the group toured the 22-acre manufacturing facility, seeing the combine production process from start to finish. The tour began in the fabrication shop, where individual parts and components are built, and continued through each stage of assembly to the moment finished machines drive off the line.
The plant currently produces seven combines per day on a strict schedule, with each stage of the build completed at dedicated stations in one-hour increments. The experience gave customers a new appreciation for the precision, scale, and craftsmanship behind every machine.
The trip provided valuable insight into the technology and teamwork that power modern harvest equipment while strengthening the partnership between Monroe Tractor, Case IH, and the customers they serve.
