E-Scrap for Camp

Electronics Recycling for a Cause

Over the past month, Monroe Tractor participated in E-Scrap for Camp, marking the fourth year of participation. From February 17 until March 11, employees, family, and friends brought in old electronics to be recycled through Sunnking.

About the E-Scrap for Camp Fundraiser

At the beginning of the donation period, Sunnking distributed boxes to participating businesses and organizations. Throughout the collection, participants brought in electronics that they wanted to recycle. For each pound of electronics collected, a portion of the proceeds goes to Camp Good Days.

Located in Branchport, NY, Camp Good Days offers residential camping for families whose lives have been touched by cancer. These families have the opportunity to get out and have fun.

Where Does that Donation Come From?

Sunnking collects old electronics for reuse or recycling. The electronics are broken down into commodity streams and sold for reuse. You can learn more about the process on their website!

How Much Did We Collect?

The E-Scrap for Camp is available in the Rochester and Buffalo area. We had 3 of our stores participate this year, Rochester, Batavia, and Buffalo. In total, we collected 2,784 lbs. of electronics!

Want your business to participate?

If your business is in the Buffalo, NY area, you can follow this link to register for 2020. Unfortunately, the Rochester, NY area’s registration has closed… but there is always next year!
