Orleans BOCES Visits Monroe Tractor Batavia

BOCES Field Trip to Monroe Tractor

Monroe Tractor hosted Orleans BOCES’ Diesel Technology program to introduce students to the jobs at a heavy equipment dealership. They learned about Monroe Tractor’s history, career opportunities, and our college scholarships.

“The next generation of employees got to see all aspects of Monroe tractor from Parts and Service to Sales and Precision across both of our brands. It also gave these students the chance to meet our team and gain an idea of the work ethic and personalities that are at Monroe Tractor.” – James Kingston, Agriculture Sales Director

Each of our departments - sales, service, parts, and precision – along with a representative from SUNY Cobleskill gave a 20-minute presentation about the careers available to students. Students could ask questions to better understand what each department does day-to-day and as a contribution to the whole company.

“It was a great opportunity to show the future generation what the dealership side of the industry looks like. It was also great to see them interact with our parts team employees. The students got to hear about those individual’s backgrounds, why they work for Monroe Tractor, what challenges they deal with, and how they overcome them.” – Neil Golden, Parts Director

Thank you to Orleans BOCES for coming to visit Monroe Tractor Batavia and our Batavia location for hosting these students!
